2020 Poster Contest Theme:

 

 

Deadline: November 13, 2020


Who Can Participate:

  • The poster contest is open to all public, private, and homeschooled students in grades K-12

 

Contest Rules:

  • All posters must be created by an individual student, rather than a team of students.
  • The 2019 theme "Life in the Soil: Dig Deeper" must be included on the front side of each poster
  • Each poster will need the NACD entry form completed and signed by a guardian to be eligible for judging
  • Artwork should be done by the student and not by an adult
  • Any media may be used such as paint, crayons, charcoal, stickers, etc.

 

Why Participate:

  • By designing the poster and researching the theme it can provide students with a voice in their community on important conservation issues
  • Posters can tell important stories in a way that everyone can understand
  • They inspire, increase awareness, and encourage us to work together to protect our natural resources for present and future generations

 

Poster Evaluation:

  • Entries are reviewed on the following criteria:
    • Conservation message (50%)
      • Poster uses correct theme
    • Visual effectiveness (30%)
    • Originality (10%)
    • Universal appeal (10%)

 

Prizes:

  • Local awards and recognition will be given
  • State winners will be eligible for NACD's National Poster Contest and prizes
