Youth Range Camp: The Upper Loup NRD provides scholarships to students who wish to attend Youth Range Camp, located at the Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE. Students at the camp learn about range management, plant identification, grazing practices, and more. Nebraska Ranch Practicum:
Nebraska Ranch Practicum: The Upper Loup NRD sponsors one $100 scholarship per sub-district yearly. The Nebraska Ranch Practicum is a three-season, hands-on ranch management program designed to give participants the skills and education needed in today’s complex ranching industry. Envirothon: The Upper Loup NRD will help sponsor Envirothon teams from the district who make it to state competition. The Envirothon is a team competition that tests students on their knowledge of botany, wildlife, water, and other natural resources issues.
